Deploy your AI agent directly into Telegram to handle private messages or act as a support bot in groups.

1. Setup Process​

To connect Texterz to Telegram, you need to create a bot via the BotFather.

Step A: Create a Bot​

  1. Open Telegram and search for @BotFather.
  2. Send /newbot and follow the instructions to name your bot.
  3. Copy the HTTP API Token provided by BotFather.

Step B: Connect to Texterz​

  1. In your Texterz dashboard, go to Channels > Telegram.
  2. Paste your Bot Token.
  3. Click Connect. Your bot is now live!

2. Capabilities​

  • Private Chat: Users can message your bot directly for 1-on-1 support or sales conversations.
  • Group Support: Add your bot to a Telegram group and give it admin rights to handle member inquiries automatically.
  • Commands: Support for standard Telegram commands like /start or /help.

3. Best Practices​

  • Custom Bio: Set a clear description and profile picture for your bot in BotFather to build trust.
  • Privacy Mode: If using in groups, decide if the bot should see all messages or only those that mention it or start with /.
