Email Channel

The Email Channel allows you to use your AI agent to handle inbound support and sales emails, providing a "digital assistant" for your inbox.

1. Managed Email Address

Texterz provides a managed inbox for every organization.

  • Format: anything@your-org.texterz.ai
  • Forwarding: You can set up your existing business email (e.g., info@company.com) to forward all incoming messages to your Texterz address.

2. Custom SMTP (Outbound)

To ensure that replies from the AI come from your own professional domain, you can connect your own SMTP server.

  • Supported Providers: Gmail, Outlook, Amazon SES, SendGrid, and any custom SMTP server.
  • Setup: In Channels > Email, enter your SMTP host, port, username, and password.

3. How the AI Handles Email

Unlike chat, email is asynchronous. The Texterz agent handles it as follows:

  1. Analysis: The AI reads the entire email thread and identifies the user's intent.
  2. RAG Search: It searches the knowledge base for the correct answer.
  3. Drafting: The AI creates a professional response.
  4. Review (Optional): If "Manual Approval" is enabled, the draft is held in the dashboard for a human operator to review and send.

4. Multi-Channel Fallback

You can configure campaigns to start on WhatsApp and, if the user doesn't reply, automatically follow up via Email. This ensures maximum reach and engagement.

Every email sent through Texterz includes a mandatory unsubscribe link to comply with GDPR and CAN-SPAM regulations.
